I attended UW - Madison to earn my bachelor's degree in English literature. As I progressed through college, I realized that I was interested in medicine and wanted to pursue a career in, so I started studying at Dominican University in their premed postbacc program, earning myself a bachelor's of medical science degree. I'll be attending medical school soon with the intention of becoming a physician. Based on my academic background, I can tutor students in a wide array of cross disciplinary subjects. I have tutoring experience, and I also have experience with AmeriCorps teaching students math and literacy. I have experience working with students with special needs, as well as ESL students. I love learning, and I appreciate the fact the learning is a lifelong pursuit. I enjoy sharing what I know with others, and I exhibit patience and compassion when I work with students. I understand the learning can be hard, particularly for advanced science and math topics. I like to help students by explaining concepts, working through problems alongside them, and helping them become independent learners. I believe that with the right amount of effort, determination, and patience, any student can work through learning obstacles to learn any topic successfully.
